​Andy Everson Collection

Influenced by his grandmother, Andy (Na̱gedzi) has always been driven to uphold the traditions of both the K’ómoks and Kwakwa̱ka̱’wakw people. Andy grew up immersed and active in culture- descending from a lineage that continued the potlatch tradition. Andy performs with a number of dance groups and holds a Master’s degree in anthropology from UBC. Andy follows in the footsteps of his Kwakwa̱ka̱’wakw relatives in creating bold and unique representations that remain rooted in the age-old traditions of his ancestors. He continues to express his ancestral artwork in a number of contemporary ways.
